Episode 65 - Freddy’s Revenge

The Puds are hard at it kids. We said we were going to go through Subspecies, Friday the 13th, Trancers and A Nightmare on Elm Street, and so we continue. This time with Freddy’s first revenge in number 2, aptly titled “Freddy’s Revenge.” Creator Wes Craven steps back this time, letting Jack Sholder and David Caskin take up directing and writing duties, respectablly, with some odd undertone to say the least. There’s a reason why we sing “Jesse’s Boy” to this one.

We have at least two more of these in the coming weeks, along with a break with a film recommended by our favorite Psycho Kiddie, Brian, so don’t think we’re not following up on our promises. As they said in ancient Summeria while penning the Necronomicon, “Pud-ho!”

Repo Opens Today, Goes on Tour Next Week

I know we have rock opera fans out there. Come on, none of you have ever fantasized about signing a rock ballad to a sequence of events taking place on stage? Am I the only one who wants to wear hot pants and jump up and down jamming to fictional event pumped with heavy metal riffs? Well, for those of you that care, Repo! The Genetic Opera opened today in limited release and will go on tour next week with special screenings.

Repo! is a story of a man in the business of repossesing organs bought under a financing program. The movie stars Athony Head (Buffy, Merlin), Paul Sorvino (Still Standing, That’s Life) and Bill Moseley (House of 1k Corpses, House). It was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III and IV) and written by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich.

Not too long ago, Baby Laugh-a-Lot came on the scene with maniacal laughter and creepy rocking motion. Someone better call Thomerson in for this, we need his 596.8 Ruger, stat.

Episode 64 - Freddy Krueger is Here

There are times when I realize sleeping can be a bit of a danger. Working, opertaing heavy machinery, driving on a busy freeway, but it is at its most precarious when Freddy is out there ready to jump in my dreams. Johnny Depp, Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss and Jsu Garcia (here known as Nick Corri) learn this the hard way when they are attacked whilst sleeping by non other than Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Sorta reminds me of the summer of 1988. I was a kid, and our boiler was oft alight with the glow of many a drifter’s devaying remains. That’s a story for a different day, my Psycho Kiddies. So listen, learn and never sleep again. Especially after the Puds invade your nightmares.

You know, the kind where you use the powers of the netherworld to bring flesh eating lovelies to life. Easy to control, easy to kill when they get out of hand. Fly my flesh eating fiends! Fly! There are brains to be eaten!

Boogeyman 3 Trailer Now Available.

I have to admit I’ve seen the first two Boogeyman films. Hey, I have a lot of free time. Anyways, the first two aren’t very good, but the third at least takes place in a college dorm and stars Erin Cahill who ain’t too shabby. Dare you to watch.

Episode 62 - Return of the Puds

Oh man, how long has it been since our last show? Over 3 months? Almost 4 since our last post on this site? Pud fans, we have failed you. Then again, some of us have be procreating, and well, the newest little Puds are just important.

What I can say now is that we’re back. And with a vengence. This time, we feel a bit like we phoned it in (hur hur hur) with watching 976-Evil, but fear not. This week was a little Pud light for what you were used to back in the day, but going forward you’ll see more and more of us with the return of some old friends and even more loud, crazy pud talk. Stay tuned, you won’t regret it. Well, until we possess you and force you to start sodimizing your pets. But you knew that, didn’t you?
