Episode Sixty, Insane in the Membrane

Pudcasts - No Comments » - Posted on July, 25 at 10:06 pm

What’s better than going crazy? Going crazy with friends. It’s even more fun if the fella driving you crazy is an undead, psychotic doctor who haunts an Asylum and picks everyone off one by one. I mean, if you were going to get your lips cut off, wouldn’t you be happier knowing the guy down the hall had to relive his worst nightmare as well. As opposed to just getting a shank in the chest. Cause, you know, shanks != scary. Snakes on a Plane and Final Destination 2 director David R. Ellis takes us through this flight on fancy, and the Puds give you the details.

Comics & Literature - No Comments » - Posted on July, 23 at 10:56 pm

With Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” comic selling like Hot Cakes, Marvel is following up King’s Gunslinger series with an adaption of “The Stand”. The comic will be hitting the stands on September 10th. Here are the first two images made available from Marvel.

Here’s Jason!!!!!!

Film & Television - No Comments » - Posted on July, 23 at 10:33 pm

Here are pictures of the Jason that will be appearing in the remake of Friday the 13th coming out on February 13th of 2009. Well I guess we can guess that, unlike the original, we’ll have a grown up Jason running about the woods.

Anyways, this “new” Jason looks pretty good in my humble opinion.  It’s as if you took an old hippie and told him to put on a hockey mask.  Nothing scarier than an old hippie.

Episode Fifty-Nine, Tune it Up

Foreign films have never been the Pud’s strongest suit, but here we are again with another movie straight out of Japan, Machine Girl. I’ve often wondered if school girls could be anything but sweet and innocent, then I watched this movie. Blood, gore, revenge… modern ninjas? Yes, modern ninjas. We could learn a thing or two on making a fun, bloody exploitation film from Noboru Iguchi. Or, at the very least, the folks over at Lionsgate and Dark Castle could.

Episode Fifty-Eight, Get Thee to a Nunnery!

Pudcasts - No Comments » - Posted on July, 19 at 12:26 am

School of the Holy Beast is more then a tale of a girl searching for her sister’s killers, it’s a story of how to deal with over bearing authority figures. I know, I know, you normally just do what they say, stay under the radar, but not these girls. I won’t spoil it for you, but…. rape. Yeah. It’s pure good hearted fun all around. Well, not really. What it is is unabashed nunsploitation with a hearty dose of treachery and, sausage. Listen, you’ll see.

Episode Fifty-Seven, We Return

Pudcasts - No Comments » - Posted on July, 2 at 6:41 am

Man, it’s been what, a month? Wait, more? Well, more for you, not so much for us. We are back though, and it’s with The Burning. No no, not that kind of Burning, the 1981 film directed by Tony Maylam. It’s a love story, a coming of age summer movie and a murder mystery, all wrapped into one! It also stars future TV and movie stars Jason AlexanderFisher Stevens and Holly Hunter. Good times are to be had when former camp repair man Cropsy (best name, ever) comes back from years in a hospital to take his revenge. So join us, won’t you? I know it’s been a while, but your uncle Bambino brought some popcorn and there are movies to watch.

Yeah, we have an affinity for the Giallos. Not only the ones that came from Italy, but our own as well. This time around, we look at another made by one of the best Giallo directors, Dario Argento, the Giallo, Tenebre. So sit back and pay attention Psycho Kiddies, because the Puds have a few things to say.

Episode Fifty-Five, Jason’s Unlucky Day

Pudcasts - 1 Comment » - Posted on May, 14 at 6:51 am

It might be the last time we see Jason this time around, after all it is the “Final Chapter” right? Right. Well, Savini got to help Feldman chop up the body, but we all know he’ll be back kiddies. Again and again and again. Will Jason ever stop killing? We certainly hope not, there’s at least 7 more movies in the series!

Episode Fifty-Four, Can you Hear me Now?

Pudcasts - No Comments » - Posted on May, 7 at 9:49 am

You know the deal. You’re out minding your own business, trying to have a sexy party with your best buds, and then all of a sudden ghosts are hijacking your cell phone and broadcasting your death. Damned precog-geists. Always ruining your day. In this case, they manage to ruin some folk’s day in a movie where the folks ruin our viewing experience. Yeah, pretty much. One Missed Call, which should have continued to be for the Puds, one missed movie.
